I think that the … program is great. It has given a chance for my child to have a feel for school without being overwhelming. Plus, the parent-teacher communication is fantastic. The home visits are useful because I get helpful ideas for my child’s development. My daughter gets excited for school and home visits.

The Head Start Program has been very beneficial for my daughter and our family. The teachers and the social service staff have helped us in numerous ways throughout the years she has attended. They offer more than just a preschool experience. They are like a family that can provide information and various programs for the community, children and their families. The best part about the Head Start Program is the fact that as a parent you are encouraged to participate in the process of educating your child.

I believe that this program is great for my kids. I love the environment where he can develop new learning strategies.

In 1991, I became employed with the Center for Family Resources as a Home Visitor. I truly admired this rural/suburban setting that would be my second home for the next 26 years. Head Start has been a key component to my family’s success and stability. In 2002, my son attended the program and quickly made friends, some he still has today. Head Start provided the foundational skills he needed to be successful in school and in life. He is off to college now and ready to succeed in the adult world. CFR has given me tremendous opportunities to grow in the Education field. I could only dream of obtaining a Master’s Degree, but with the support of the program it became a reality. I had the pleasure of working as a Teacher, Special Services Manager and at present, an Education Manager for the program.
