Does the Head Start program use a structured curriculum?

Yes, our Head Start program uses the High Scope curriculum.

How do classrooms celebrate holidays?

Classrooms focus on activities instead of food to celebrate holidays. For example, parents are encouraged to visit a class for their child’s birthday to read a story or do another activity. Food is not allowed to be brought into the classrooms.

How do I apply for Emergency Assistance Funds?

If you are in need of assistance, head over to our Emergency Services page to get the most up to date information on available funds & food pantries in your area.

To apply for emergency funds for Prevention Assistance, fill out this Application in its entirety and return to the Highlands Family Success Center. The form can be mailed to you if you are unable to print it, contact HFSC at 973.506.6575.

Please note, the assistance is not available immediately, the form must be approved first. All payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage companies and utility companies.
